Celebrating Diversity Through Migration Stories and Cultural Flavors
Grade 3 recently concluded their Social Studies unit on migration in a truly memorable way! Students spent weeks exploring migration stories, including their own family histories, and deepened their understanding of how migration shapes cultures and communities.
To celebrate, each family contributed a special dish representing their heritage or a beloved family recipe for a classroom feast. The room was filled with delicious aromas, vibrant colors, and joyful conversations, as students shared the flavors and stories that connect them to their roots.
This gathering was more than just a meal; it was a celebration of the unique diversity in our community. By sharing food and stories, our Grade 3 families created an experience that reminded us all of the beauty of our global connections.
Thank you to all the families who shared a piece of their heritage and helped make this event truly special!
