On February 4 and 5 AISZ High School students participated in the CEESA High School Knowledge Bowl tournament. Once again the tournament was held virtually. Twelve CEESA schools competed in the tournament with a total of 23 teams. AISZ as the smallest CEESA school in attendance competed with the largest number of teams (3 teams) and the largest number of participants (12 students).
All of our students did remarkably well under these difficult and challenging virtual times. We have a very strong young group of grade 9 students who will gain experience and continue to contribute with their knowledge. Our grade 10 and 11 students will continue to be leaders and test their knowledge against each other and peers in Europe.
Officially by competing in this tournament our AISZ 1 and AISZ 3 teams have qualified to compete in an externally organized European competition. Depending on the students willingness and the organizers this is something that we may consider for later on in the school year. Thank you for all of your support and for rooting for our students; we are very proud of all of them.
