Tuesday 21 August Day 2

Normal school day according to schedule for Grades 1 - 12.

School Start Time

We polled the AISZ Community last year regarding our daily school start time and it was evenly split between the usual 08:00 start and an 08:30 start. Therefore, we will initially keep to the start time: 07:50 arrival time and classes starting at 08:00. This is the time school has commenced in the past and will have little difference certainly whilst the school remains on Vocarska. When we examined the implications of changing the start time we are impacted by traffic supervision, parents’ work schedules and transport for each of the times. As we work initially with the normal start time, we will continually receive input to gauge the impact of these times on students’ work and what works best in their interests.

Bus Schedule

For the beginning of the school year until we move to the Bundek campus, the same arrangements that we used last year will remain in place regarding using I-Bus for school transport. Parents may make arrangements directly with the company. For new parents, a representative of the IBUS Company will be at New Parent Orientation to assist you. IBUS can be contacted at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

School Cafeteria

Our school cafeteria will continue serving us and will do also at the new campus. All systems of payment and contact remain the same. The contact for the Cafeteria Office is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We will explain the procedures to new parents at the New Parent Orientation this Friday.

New Campus

We are pleased with the progress of the building construction that has taken place over the summer. There are new photographs coming soon on the website for you.  Next week we take an important step with a planned technical inspection of the facilities on Tuesday 14th. During August, most of the construction will be completed and then we will have time to operate the technical systems to ensure they are working correctly. After that, we will furnish the new complex. A more detailed and scheduled plan will be shared after the technical inspection.

After School Care & Campus Supervision.

In response to numerous requests we've received from parents, we will be introducing a system of extended after school supervision this year. This will be a service that parents will be able to register for which will provide activities and supervision for students after the regular school day and after school activities conclude. The service will run until 17:00.

This service will attract a nominal fee from all registered participants. At this point we are working out the logistics but in order to set an appropriate fee for this extra care we need to know how many familtes will take up this service. We will seeking expressions of interest shortly.

It is envisaged that there will be extra activities and care for Lower School Students, and a Campus Supervisor for Upper School students who have been registered to remain in school until 17:00. Registered Upper School Students will have the ability to use the facilities after having checked in with the Campus Supervisor.

We are currently concluding the planning and design of this and more information will be out shortly.

Yours in International Education,
