The AISZ After-School Activities program is comprised of enrichment and recreational activities from arts to sports. We provide a balance of activities for all grade levels (Senior Kindergarten – Grade 12).

There is a minimum number of students required for each activity.

After- School Activities are divided into the following groups:

School-Sponsored Activities are led by AISZ staff. Teachers and staff share an interest with students after school. Activities vary from session to session.

School-Associated Activities are taught by non-AISZ staff members such as parents or instructors from other schools or clubs. AISZ’s role is to ensure that the quality of instruction is maintained and to help facilitate enrollment in these activities. These activities will begin with the 1st session of the school-sponsored activities and continue throughout the school year. The instructors will set their own fee and payment will be made directly to them.

Community Activities take place around Zagreb. AISZ assists as a contact for activities in the community and only coordinates when appropriate.

CEESA ACTIVITIES

AISZ is a member of the Central Eastern European Schools Association (CEESA). Member schools include: The American School of Warsaw, The American International School of Bucharest, The American International School of Budapest, The Anglo- American School of Sofia, The Anglo-American School of Moscow, The International School of Prague, The International School of Belgrade, The American International School of Vienna, Quality Schools of Ljubljana and Sarajevo and many others. Regular CEESA competitions are held in activities and sports at the middle and high school levels. These events are hosted by member schools and follow CEESA rules. Host families at these tournaments house students competing in sports or activities. Preparation for these after-school activities and sports will be free of charge since the students represent the school at an official school event.

CEESA Activities and Sports will be incorporated in the After-School Activities Program.
